Welcome to the home of the 87th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. This group of re-enactors from the York County, PA area depicts men and women that would have served or supported the Union Army’s 87th Pennsylvania regiment, Company C.

Company C contributed approximately 100 men from the York County region to the forming 87th Pennsylvania between August and September 1861, and nearly 200 total over the course of the war. Many of these men served, fought, bled, and died on battlefields throughout Virginia and Maryland including Winchester, Bristoe Station, Spotsylvania Courthouse, Monocacy, Cedar Creek, and Petersburg.

Today’s 87th Pennsylvania Volunteers of Company C continue a tradition of men and women from within and around York County, PA providing impersonations of soldiers and civilians from the Civil War period. We participate in black powder re-enactments, living history encampments, municipal parades, memorial services, and educational events throughout the area.
